Boarding School Stories:
Interdisciplinary Acts of Indigenous Remembering

Forthcoming Collected Edited by Louellyn White and Michael Taylor.

This collection brings together Indigenous writers from different communities across Turtle Island to tell community-centered stories surrounding Indian boarding/residential schooling and the ongoing impacts across generations. Each story shows that although boarding/residential schools intended to erase all traces of Indigenous cultural identity for settler state existence, Indigenous communities and people have remained resilient. We aim to center communal ways of healing demonstrated through various creative expressions by Indigenous authors.
